Liverpool the Shwedish Beatles Band

The Swedish band Liverpool has been on tv & radio numerous times – they've even represented their country in the Eurovision Song Contest. Most importantly for our Festival though is the fact that bassist Ronnie Roos chose 22 Beatles songs, arranged them for a symphony orchestra and has since then performed the material with various Youth Chamber Orchestras. The show „All you need is love“ was performed on live tv & radio with the Ystad Youth Chamber Orchestra and it became a huge success. In fact it became such a big hit that the band have since taken the show on the road. The band's manager Klaus Cordt had the initial idea to bring the show to Hamburg, where it all began – for the Beatles 50^th anniversary. When Klaus met Achim Schultz the plan for a Festival was hatched and it was to include several cities.http://www.liverpool.se
